What is Your Tarot Year Card? (repost)

Some people view the new year as a time to start fresh.  Each year has a new theme, which can be determined by your tarot year card. This card can help you determine the lessons, challenges, and experiences for the coming year.

How to Calculate Your Year Card
Example: I was born on the 15th of October.(original posters dob) To calculate my tarot year card:

Add up the month, day, and current year. 10 + 15 + 2011 = 2035

You then add each digit in the sum: 2+0+3+5=10, keeping the number from 1-22. Each number corresponds to a Major Arcana card. If the number adds up to 23 or greater you would further add those digits. 2 + 3 = 5

In the example, the year card would be 10 The Wheel of Fortune.

Ask yourself the following questions about your year card:
1. What is the overall energy of this card?
2. How do I personally feel about it?
3. What strengths can I look to over the coming year?
4. What challenges can I look for over the coming year?
5. How can I use the energy of this year to help me accomplish my goals?

It can be fascinating to go back and calculate your year cards for the previous years and compare it to the timing of events that happened in your life.

You can also compare the astrological correspondences to your astrological chart. You do this using your solar return chart (calculated on the day of your birthday).

*Note that some decks have Strength and Justice reversed, so it’s a good idea to read about both cards, unless you follow a specific tarot deck. Also, if you have the tarot card Death, please don’t panic. It simply means a transformation and end of something old leading to a rebirth.
